Digital Infrastructure & Community Relations
Treigh Cox
Treigh Cox supports the Doyle Fire Protection District through digital infrastructure, technology, and community outreach. Now living in Doyle, California, he helps develop the department’s website, digital tools, communication systems, and community engagement initiatives.
With a background in technology, operations, and working with children, Treigh believes public service extends beyond emergency response. His goal is to help make DFPD more accessible, strengthen relationships with local families, and provide residents with useful information and resources.
A Family Tradition, A Path of My Own
Fire service wasn’t originally the path Treigh expected to follow. Growing up with family members already involved in the profession, he deliberately chose to find his own direction rather than simply follow in their footsteps.
His family’s fire-service history includes his grandfather, who served as a fire chief, his father, who also served as a fire chief in Ohio for a period of time, and his brother, Lieutenant Cody Thurlo of Moab Valley Fire Department in Utah.
When Treigh finally told his family he was pursuing his own path into the fire service, their response was fitting: “Called it. Fire service runs in the Cox blood.”
Perhaps they saw it coming before he did.
Today, Treigh is carving out his own role with Doyle Fire Protection District, bringing his technical skills, creativity, and commitment to community service to a family tradition that has taken a different shape with each generation.
Building for the Future
Treigh focuses on developing practical digital solutions that help DFPD operate more efficiently, from website development and fire danger information to administrative systems, digital reporting, and equipment checks.
He also hopes to expand community outreach, support fire safety education, and build stronger connections between the department and local families.
For Treigh, service takes many forms. Whether on the fireground or behind the scenes, every contribution matters.
His goal is simple: to help build a Doyle Fire Protection District that serves its community not only when the sirens sound, but every day.
